— Shelby - Middleton

“We had such a fantastic portrait session at Blossom Lane Photography. From the moment we arrived, Nicola made both me and the children feel completely at ease.

She made the session so fun and exciting for them, there were lots of laughs, and the kids genuinely enjoyed every minute. Nicola has such a natural way with children, and it really shows in the photos.

The images are beautiful, and I’m so impressed with the whole experience. If you’re thinking about having portraits done, whether for your children or the whole family, I couldn’t recommend Nicola highly enough. We’ll definitely be using her again and recommending her to others..”

— Mahabuba - Rochdale

“Highly recommend Nicola. We had some beautiful family photos taken over a few hours of a birthday celebration and couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Nicola was lovely, really professional and friendly. Thank you!.”

FAQs

Where do you travel to for fine art portrait sessions?

1

I photograph families across Bury, Whitefield, Prestwich, Middleton, Heywood, Rochdale, Bolton, South Manchester and surrounding areas.

If you’re unsure whether I travel to you, just get in touch — I regularly work across Greater Manchester.

Do I need a large or bright house?

2

Not at all. My fine art portraits are created using professional studio lighting and backdrops, so I can work in most homes — even smaller spaces.

I’ll guide you beforehand and simply need a small area to create your beautiful portraits.

What should my child wear for a fine art portrait?

3

Simple, timeless clothing works best. Neutral tones, soft textures and classic outfits photograph beautifully and keep the focus on your child.

What age works best for fine art portraits?

4

Fine art portraits work beautifully for children of all ages, including siblings.

As sessions are gently posed, it’s helpful if children are able to take a little direction — but I always keep things relaxed and fun.

What makes your fine art portrait sessions different?

5

Although fine art portraits are carefully styled and gently posed, my sessions are always relaxed, warm and enjoyable. I’m naturally chatty and experienced with children, helping them feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera.

This allows me to guide them into beautiful, timeless poses while still capturing genuine expressions and personality — creating fine art portraits that feel natural, elegant and truly special.
